SVG (vector)PNG 256pxPNG 512pxPNG 1024px

Version: ETH diamond, purple. Original file: https://ethereum.org/images/assets/svgs/eth-diamond-purple.svg (from ethereum.org). PNGs are transparent-background exports of that file, made by LogoBlockchain.

About the Ethereum logo

The Ethereum mark is the "diamond": two stacked, faceted shapes that read as an octahedron seen from the side. The purple version published on ethereum.org uses three tones of muted indigo to suggest light hitting different faces. Ethereum.org also publishes black, white, gray, glyph-only and rainbow versions, plus landscape lockups that pair the diamond with the word Ethereum.

History

Ethereum went live in 2015, and the diamond has represented it from the early days. Unlike a corporate logo, it is maintained in the open: the ethereum.org website, which is itself an open-source community project, hosts the official asset library. That's why you'll see the diamond on everything from wallet balances to conference stages, while the network itself has no single owner.

Ethereum logo color codes

These hex values come straight from the official SVG file.

Correct usage

Do

• Download from the ethereum.org Assets page to get the exact facet geometry
• Use the monochrome versions when you can't show the three purple tones
• Leave clear space around the diamond, roughly the width of one facet

Don't

• Don't flatten the facets into a single color shape in the purple version
• Don't rotate the diamond
• Don't combine the diamond with your own wordmark in a way that implies partnership

Which file should you use?

Use the SVG for websites, presentations and print. It scales to any size without blur and stays small. Use the PNG where SVG isn't accepted, such as some CMS uploads, email templates and social posts: 256 px for icons and lists, 512 px for cards, 1024 px for large displays and retina screens.

License and trademark

Ethereum.org publishes these files on its official Assets page for the community to use. Check that page for current attribution and license notes before commercial use. The Ethereum name and logo belong to their owners. Showing them here for reference doesn't grant any trademark rights, and it doesn't mean Ethereum endorses this site or your use.
