Version: Cardano starburst, blue. Original file: https://cardano.org/img/brand-assets/cardano-starburst-blue.svg (from cardano.org). PNGs are transparent-background exports of that file, made by LogoBlockchain.
About the Cardano logo
The Cardano symbol, called the "starburst" in the official file names, is a radial pattern of dots in rings that get smaller toward the outside. It reads like a constellation or a network of nodes around a center. The official blue file uses one color, #0033AD, which makes it easy to reproduce correctly across media. Cardano.org also offers horizontal and stacked lockups with the Cardano wordmark in black, blue and white.
History
Cardano launched in 2017. Its brand assets are published by the community site cardano.org as a downloadable package and as individual SVGs. Because the symbol is made of many separate dots, low-quality copies often lose the smallest outer dots, which is a quick way to spot an unofficial file.
Cardano logo color codes
These hex values come straight from the official SVG file, which uses a single brand color.
#0033AD
Cardano blue
Correct usage
Do
- Use the stacked lockup when you have square space and the horizontal one for headers
- Keep all the outer dots visible; pick the PNG size that preserves them
- Use the white version on dark backgrounds
Don't
- Don't change the dot spacing or remove rings
- Don't place it on busy photos where the dots disappear
- Don't recolor with gradients
Which file should you use?
Use the SVG for websites, presentations and print. It scales to any size without blur and stays small. Use the PNG where SVG isn't accepted, such as some CMS uploads, email templates and social posts: 256 px for icons and lists, 512 px for cards, 1024 px for large displays and retina screens.
